Successful Artist in Action Show

 

Walden Art Club had another successful Artist in Action Show this past November.  The following pictures are some of the members representing the Walden Art Club this past year.

Some member’s pictures are missing:  Sheila Cole, Suzanne Alemany, Christie Best-Pearson, Brigette Bere, Barbara Griswold, Margo Oliver (Honourary Member) and Marianne Lepson (Honourary Member).

We would like to thank our community because without them we would not have had such a great show.

Watch for our next Artist in Action show in the spring with new paintings and many new ideas.

WAC 42nd Annual Spring Show

The Walden Art Club (WAC) invites you to our 42nd annual spring show introducing the “Artists in Action” Show and Sale April 21 and April 22 From 11:00 until 5:00 Walden Arena, Lively ( FREE Admission , Refreshments and draws)

This year our spring show will take on a new look. Instead of setting up the show as a gallery presentation of the member’s artwork we will be set up this year in our “Artists in Action” format. Our members will have their own displays and will be working on a project while you watch. They will be able to answer all your questions concerning their artwork. 

Every year the members set up a canvas as a “Work in Progress” for those visitors who get inspired and wish to try their hand at putting paint on canvas.

Our children’s section has been a great success in the past years. We encourage creativity for all ages so we set up an area for the young artists to play and create a drawing or a bookmark to take home with them.

While at the show, enter to win one of the door prizes that our artists have donated and take a break in our Café to chat with friends and family while enjoying a coffee and/or dessert or two. Before you leave browse through our library of photo albums filled with the past 42 years of memories.

WAC is always looking for new members:

If you are interested in drawing, painting at any level, and wish to be with others with like interests, we would be happy to have you join our club. We get together to paint and share ideas, with some members doing demonstrations using various techniques on occasion.

We meet on Saturday mornings at the Ben Moxam Community Centre just off the highway on Westview Cres., Lively.
