Walden Art Club General Information
The Walden Art Club began in April 1970 with six members. Although our membership numbers have grown and changed from year to year, we have always maintained a strong relationship with the community. Over the years our club has encouraged community participation in the arts for all age groups and we support worthwhile fund-raising programs in the community. Our members enjoy getting together each and every Saturday for painting workshops given by guest artists and in-house artists using various mediums such as acrylic, encaustic, pen & ink, pastel, pencil sketching and watercolour. We have business meetings once a month to discuss and plan various art programs and projects, community involvement and our two annual art shows.
Our club maintains membership in the Northern Ontario Art Association and the Sudbury Arts Council. We welcome artists in the CGS to join us any Saturday morning at the Ben Moxam Community Centre on Westview in Lively.
